The use of antibiotics in livestock farming is widespread in many countries worldwide. These drugs are used to prevent and treat diseases and promote animal growth. However, their excessive and uncontrolled use leads to the emergence of antibiotic-resistant bacteria, which poses a serious threat to human health. Animal products most at risk:- Meat (especially poultry, pork, and beef) : This is perhaps the largest food category where antibiotic residues can be found. - Thorough cooking : High temperatures can destroy some antibiotic residues, but not all or all. The key is hygiene and proper cooking.
